Going Every Direction Possible

Sorry I have updated for a while. Our lives have been kind of hectic. To start with Dwight decided he would get a little more creative with his wood working skills and made some log picture frames. They turned out really neat, I think. Then he put some quarter-round around the counters to finish that project. Brandon thought he was a big help. But I have to say that the wood is hickory and a plastic hammer wasn't going to cut it. But he thought it was fun. James is healthy once again and we are now dealing with cradle cap. Poor kid. I have a hard time getting the oil down to the scalp because of all his hair. He is starting change a bit into his own looks and doesn't look so much like Brandon's baby pictures anymore. I did some canning. I made pomegranate jelly and syrup and now I am working on quarterly primary activity, PAS livestock contest coordination, and a farm festival for the elementary school kids. Sometimes I wonder how I get into all these different projects. We also have ag rendezvous coming next week and my mom and gram are coming to help with that. Other than that things have been pretty normal. I guess if there is a normal. Hope everyone is doing well.

COOL DUDES

Yesterday I cleaned off the top of the entertainment center and found 2 pair of Brandon's sunglasses. I handed them to him and he took them to his toy box and put them away. Today I went down stairs and did some laundry. I came up checked on the boys. Brandon was playing in the toy box area in the corner and James was sleeping. So I went to put the clothes away in Gma Sally's room. I was helping her with her new computer and heard James start to fuss so I went to check on him and this is what I found. Brandon had put the sunglasses on his brother and then on himself. I was trying so hard not to laugh because Brandon was looking so serious and I asked what are you doing? He says to me "cool dude" I couldn't help but burst out laughing. James was not enjoying it as you can see, but Brandon thought he was pretty darn cool. I must say he does use that head of his and has a great imagination. I just hope he uses for good all the time.

Chickens

Dwight finished the chicken coop yesterday, so I guess we are going to give raising chickens a try. Brandon was pretty excited. We got chickens from his Gpa Little. He loved chasing the birds. His Gpa has ducks, turkeys and chickens. There was one turkey in particular that Brandon liked. He kept trying to get it to drink water. When we got the other chickens home he wanted to stay in the coop with them. I asked him if he was going to sleep in there and he said he just wanted to wave to them. I don't know where he gets his words or his imagination.
