On the mend and new friends

Let me introduce "Sparky" as Brandon has named the mask James has to wear for his breathing treatments. Yes it is a purple dinosaur and has become our new found friend. Poor James doesn't look so good wearing it but it really does help a lot. And Brandon well he is pretty well on the mend. He still has a bit of a cough but nothing as bad as it was and is back to his ornery old self again. He got a balloon from Rexburg Motor Sports yesterday and he thought that he was going to sleep with it. He wouldn't let go for the life of him. He had a blast with it. Who would have thought that a balloon could be so much fun. Today he was ready to go with his dad outside. I must say he is kind of a cute kid when he wants to be.

RSV

Not good, we went to the doctor today and James' croup has progressed to RSV. He got a steroid shot and is doing breathing treatments at home. We have to watch him closely and just give him lots of love to comfort him. The doc said it will most likely last up to 14 days and we are only on day four. It peaks at about day seven or eight. Yikes. It is hard to watch your children be sick and you can't don anything with them. Brandon is doing better, still has a bit of a cough but for the most part is back to normal. Now Dwight is complaining of a sore throat. I hope we can all get over this soon.

Starting Log Furniture Business

Actually, I've had so much fun building this log stuff I've started to shop for the right tools for the job and will be starting up my own little business next fall/winter. So, if anyone would like to get on the list I am taking orders now. I can build to suit and the sky is pretty much the limit I've decided so whatever you want, we'll give it a try. Pass the word around and just as a small side note, I will make prices a bit more reasonable than most I've see!!!

Any help

Well, this week started out great. We were all semi-healthy. Then Brandon came down with Croup. It really kind of started to scare me because he couldn't keep anything down and would have coughing spells about every half hour. So I took him to urgent care and gave him two shots, and some antibiotics for a secondary infection. Now James has the cough and there is nothing to do for the little guy except sit and listen to him struggle. He hasn't vommited yet, but he can hardly even cry. Does anyone know of anything to do for an infant. We went to the Dr.s yesterday and they said to watch really close and if he gets a fever and labored breathing to where the skin on his ribs are sunk in to bring him back in. We have a follow up tomorrow and hopefully they will be able to do something for the little guy. He sounds so miserable. He did gain 4.1 lbs in the first two months of life. That's good news.

Log Furniture

So, my husband has been a busy man this winter. Brandon needed a bed so he would be use to the idea before James took over the crib. And so he didn't feel like he was being pushed out. Dwight decided that he could make one from all of the logs that we had. And sure enough he did. I don't mean to brag but I think he did a great job considering that we don't really have all of the tools to do. A while back he made a dresser and I didn't really like it so he accented it with logs to match the bed, and I can honestly say that it looks a whole lot better and he did a great job. Then I needed a little table to go under my window in the hallway to my bedroom and he jumped up and said I will build one out of logs. So Here it is, another successful project. He is becoming handy in every way and I am glad. He really has enjoyed building it and I am very proud of him.
